Museum Restaurant Watanay

Make your dinner an unforgettable night!

A complex of underground chambers found during the restoration of the house has been rescued and adapted to make it an interesting and mysterious dining room.

It is called "Watanay", a Quechua word meaning "tied stones", because according to history, in this part of the hotel the former orchard and gardens of the Real Audiencia Palace there was a long stone-lined drainage channel for rain water.

Throughout the rooms of the Watanay, are displayed vestiges of the ancient pre-Hispanic cultures that inhabited this area, including ceramics, pieces of weavings and other artifacts used in ancient times.

The Watanay Restaurant, with its very original structure and surroundings, provides guests a unique dining experience.
